I’m usually reading about 4 or 5 books at one time, so I’m going to update this every weekend with the list of books I’m currently reading.

In the Name of Jesus
Henri J.M. Nouwen
Here’s a quote from this excellent and short book on Christian leadership: “Dealing with burning issues withoutbeing rooted in a deep personal relationship with God easily leads to divisiveness because, before we know it, out sense of self is caught up in our opinion about a given subject. But when we securely rooted in a personal intimacy with the source of life, it will be possible to remain flexible without being relativistic, convinced without being rigid, willing to confront without being offensive, gentle and forgiving without being soft, and true witnesses without being manipulative.”
The Hobbit
J.R.R. Tolkien
It was time to read The Hobbit again. I’ll probably read this every 5 years for the rest of my life. It simply lights up my imagination with descriptive imagery and story. They are currently starting to work on the movie, so now is a great time to get the real story.
The 4 Hour Work Week
Timothy Ferris
This book caught my eye mostly for the hope that I can one day create a self perpetuating income stream. For now, it has at least helped me learn how to handle the heavy load at work with more effectiveness.

The Screwtape Letters is one of my favorite books EVER. I think that Lewis was extremely skillful in exposing the “little things” that divert our attention in such a big way!
I hope you are well!
